Todd Gardiner at Taqueria 27

Tuesday, September 17th is the date for this unique pairing dinner at the Foothill location of T27. Owners Todd and Kristin Gardiner LOVE mezcal – from the smokey flavor to the unique agave profiles to the story behind the craft mezcal distillers. Chef Todd is excited to share his extensive knowledge with guests via this exclusive mezcal tasting and dinner.

New to mezcal? “Unlike tequila, which by law must be made from Blue Weber agave, mezcal can be made from 30-plus varietals. It can be clear, golden, or amber. Age statements range from zero to two months for Joven mezcal, two months to one year for a reposado, one to three years for Anejo, and more than three years for extra Anejo.” ~ The Complete Mezcal Guide.

Attendees will enjoy a family-style meal with chips, salsa, guacamole, and 3 of the restaurant’s favorite featured tacos to go along with the mezcal. There will also be three different varietals of mezcal along with a surprise cocktail too.

Tickets are priced $50 for food and mezcal, or $35 for food only. The event runs 6.30 p.m. till 8.00 p.m. and tickets can be purchase online here. This is a 21+ only event.

Note: a vegetarian option will be available. Special dietary requests must be made in advance and selections may be limited.
