BGRAmidst the continuing revamp of Sugar House, this relative newcomer is becoming part of the new fixture and fittings of the trendy area. December 18th sees the gourmet burger concept celebrate one year in business – usually the toughest of times even without being surrounded by endless construction. To mark the first year around the sun and surviving building crews aplenty, the restaurant is giving back to the community. Every Wednesday from November 14th through December 19th, the business will give 15% of sales back to a select non profit. Follow the business on Facebook to keep track. And be sure to stop by and sample their featured November burger, pictured above; the Thanksgiving On A Bun special sees a turkey burger loaded up with cranberry sauce, gravy and stuffing. It goes without saying, take every advantage to eat gravy and stuffing while you can, in whatever format you can; because come January you’ll be crying about resolutions and healthy things. Just trust me on this. 1202 E Wilmington Ave, Ste 120, Salt Lake City, UT 84106 (801) 487-6301 bgrtheburgerjoint.com/locations-menus/saltlake-ut/

Hi, I’m Stuart, nice to meet you! I’m the founder, writer and wrangler at Gastronomic SLC and The Utah Review; I’m also a former restaurant critic of more than five years, working for the Salt Lake Tribune. I’ve worked extensively with other local publications from Utah Stories through to Salt Lake Magazine and Visit Salt Lake.
I’m a multiple-award winning journalist and have covered the Utah dining scene for more than a decade. I’m largely fueled by Uinta Cutthroat, alliteration and the use of too many big words I don’t understand. I ate all the pies.
