Michelangelo Ristorante

It’s been almost a month now since this news item surfaced. However, I realised I forgot to mention it at the time. The chef at Michelangelo’s Ristorante on Highland drive was quietly changed back in August. The new highland drive location for Michelangelo’s didn’t receive overly great reviews from either ourselves or the Salt Lake Tribune. I’d love to hear from anyone who has dined recently. Heck we might just stop by ourselves again.

Gusto Takeaway
39 N St Salt Lake City, 84103
(801) 532-8488

Whilst I have never tried out Gusto Takeaway myself, it’s on my radar. In Utah This week had a really positive review some time ago, and I’ve read other great things too. After an email dialogue with John Hague (owner/operator of Gusto Takeaway) this week, I found out they are now open evenings too. Gusto is open from 11.00am to 7.30pm Monday through Friday.

Mr Cebollin
9105 Redwood Rd, West Jordan, 84088
(801) 255-5518

A few days ago, I received a tip off from a generous reader, ready to spill the beans on their great new find. In their own words:

“I found a GEM in my neighborhood. An unassuming and somewhat uninviting strip mall on Redwood Rd. just So. of 9000 S. by the Albertsons. Dirt cheap, clean, and TASTY! I’m not kidding! Homemade El Salvadorian food. I saw it and was intrigued by the name and had to try it. I’ve been back 3 times in 2 weeks. My husband and I got several items to share. Pupusas, zopas, tamales, tacos, enchiladas, tortas. Everything- Awesome. We eat like kings for $15! I don’t want to share this place with anyone- but I REALLY don’t want it to go out of business.” It isn’t a place I have heard of myself, anyone else?

A brief item in the Tribune today, Cafe Madrid is on the move to 5244 S. Highland Drive. We reviewed Cafe Madrid back in May 2008 and completely enjoyed it. I do remember thinking the space felt a bit cramped though. Here is hoping to more great food and maybe an even better dining space.

Reyes Abobe

Affordable food and Main Street (Park City) rarely go hand in hand. Well, with new Mexican restaurant Reyes Adobe, opening soon, they shortly will. I’m looking forward to a full review by the guys over at www.tasteofparkcity.com just as soon as it opens.
