Thanks for putting those up. I need to just buy a domain so I can run real email programs again and host/control my photos and such.

Went in yesterday for the lunch buffet.

I sampled the tandoori chicken, naan, aloo saag, butter chicken, potato and zuchini, pakora, lamb jalfrezi, mango puddding and jery.

The tandoori chicken was only mediocre compared to the fresh. The lamb was overcooked. The butter chicken was better than the other two meat items. While the flavors were there, they were muted and the meat textures a bit off.

The vegetable dishes fared much better on the steam tables and were quite tasty. Special merit to the pakora and aloo saag.

Mango pudding was better than I anticipated. And the jery was something I'd never tried but was a fun sweet fritter kind of thing.

I suspect part of the problem is turnover. There were only about 12 people there for lunch at 12:30 and that's not enough traffic to turn over the buffet items quickly to keep them at their peak.

For a few weeks there, I was all about The Kathmandu. I think I made Stu have takeout from the place about 4 times in a two week period. Now, I can't get over our last experience, which included a 80 minute wait for take out (the 30 minutes they told us it would take coupled with the 50 minutes Stu actually had to sit there and wait when he went to pick it up) followed by getting it home and biting into RAW CHICKEN. Ugh! I really don't want this place to be ruined for us, because it was so good and convenient. Will probably give it one more try, and just avoid it all together on busy Saturday nights.
