The popular chain steakhouse Ruth’s Chris is set to open it’s doors to the public on May 17th. We dined once at the previous location on Pierpont Avenue (now home to Donovans) and had a wonderful meal, accompanied by great service too. It is my understanding that the business itself performed well, but sadly it disappeared from the culinary map amid Gene Kwon’s business issues. We are looking forward to Ruth’s Chris if its anything like our past experience – great steaks, cooked spot on with fantastic and enormous side dishes.
The PR blurb for the new opening details the key points:
“We are so pleased to be returning “The sizzle” to Salt Lake City. Our chefs are preparing your favorite prime steaks and sweet potato casserole seven nights a week. We look forward to welcoming you in out dazzling dining room at our new location (275 S West Temple) or at the bar to watch the game, where your service will be sprinkled with southern hospitality and your steaks sizzling. Reservations can be make by calling the restaurant at 801-363-2000. We will be open nightly from 5-10pm Monday-Thursday, 5-11 pm Friday & Saturday and 4-9 pm Sundays. We look forward to serving you soon!”
