Looks good Stu! Might I also throw out the taco stands (800S State St facing State is our favorite). We eat there often and the food is great. There is a condiment cooler where you can pump up your burrito, tacos, whatever. So many people are worried about getting sick but take it from a vet (eaten there 50 times and counting) you do not get ill. The health department observes street venders like anyone else! And the tacos are $1.50 for 2 and burritos (huge) are $3. Try the chicken or pork or tongue if you are adventurous! Bless the latino population for bringing good food. This is my favorite midnight snack run!

I must admit my husband and I are addicted to the rooster. We live in Sandy and wish it were closer. We crave it when it's been more than a week. Even while on vacation in Southern Cal. while eating in fine restaurants we couldn't wait to get back to the rooster. Our favorites are their chicken enchiladas, and the rojo burrito. However their soft chicken tacos are quite delicious too. Their whole chicken is amassing and I love their pinto beans. At times we end up with food for at least two days because when we begin to order we get exited and end up ordering way to much. I love their salsas. I actually am very pleased with the amount of food you get for the price. I hope they do great and hurry up and open one in Sandy.

I just shared the whole chicken with my wife and a cheese quesadilla. All I'm thinking about is going back and getting more.

That does make me think of one con. The dollar to portion ratio seemed to favor the dollar, but I think the flavor made up for the extra expense.

What sides did you have mpez? The pinto beans and rice I had were not outstanding but were decent enough for what is essentially fast food.

As for the chicken, I have been twice now and each time have had excellent, super-juicy chicken. Sorry to hear about your experience.
