Those jerks closed with out even contacting me, when I had made a large christmas party reservation for this weekend. Now I am stuck trying to find another place on short notice. JERKS!!!!

Sushi with Jazz isn’t too bad of a mix, at least not for me, but I am odd! Certainly not conventional but I could see that working.

What I was trying to express was that for the Butterfly to really succeed in its SLC location, it needed to really embrace the crowds of the adjoining Depot. From experience it did anything but.

I don’t think the cuisine per se would fail anywhere in SLC.

It’s probably more of a statement of local preferences that Butterfly didn’t work out. The same style has worked fine with the same type of venur in SFO. It’s obviously not the only place with cuisine that doesn’t seems to match the venue. Certainly Yoshi’s in Alameda is World famous for it’s Jazz venue and Sushi. That’s another pairing that doesn’t make sense, but works there. I doubt it would make it here.
