I was very disappointed with this restaurant. The prices were expensive , while not being very large portions. The waiters were really slow to check if we needed refills. To be fair our waitress was off during our meal, but I think her replacement wasn’t told. The menus aren’t very large or do a good job of explaining what comes with the entrees. They messes up on my wifes sandwich by not removing the cheese. As previously mentioned no one came to check how everything was. Honestly the food was good just too pricy. I will never be back

Went to Stella Grill for the first time this past Friday night. We enjoyed it immensely (I love the lamb!) and didn't have the issue with the ticket coming and going. We will happily go back. I hope it does well in its cozy little location.

My husband Chuck and I dine @ Stella almost every Wed evening for "date night". We have the most exceptional service. We are treated very kindly . Sometimes we even come in twice a week. We love everyone there and our hats are off to the chef.. Wonderful and delicious. We recommend this cozy, comfortable pub to everyone.

Try the heavenly cheeseburgers. . .I make it to the homey little pub almost every Friday. Top off with a glass or two of Pinot Gris and your weekend has begun.
I agree about the ticket stuck in an empty glass. Why not wait until finished? I don't know, but I do know it's the only thing about Stella's that bothers me. I've always had great service, even when it was busy. I like feeling welcome and nicely doted upon when I've had a busy week at work.

I'd recommend this place and those who are fans of The Pub's menu will find a few of those favorites served here. I'd say it is a bit hit and miss though as Stella's seems to cut corners on some meals. The Tuesday night Schezuan chicken pasta salad was made with diced canned chicken while at The Pub you get grilled chicken slices. I was disappointed but some of the other items are very good. Pick wisely, and for similar items go to Trolley Square.

I believe they were fried. The exterior was definitely on the crisp side. I don't recall them being greasy though.

I guess I can see how the service model would work for a pub style environment, I just felt with a three course sit down meal like I was being subtly asked to leave all the time.

I had no idea a new restaurrant had opened in this location. It's a little outside my usual stomping grounds. When I came to Salt Lake in 1994, it was a barbecue place called Bubba's that served me beer when I was underage. My dual passion for alcohol and slow-cooked pork continues to this day.

In addition to Martine (which is a little rich for me) The Pub Group operates the usually good Pub at Desert Edge, and the almost always mediocre-to-yucky Red Butte Cafe. I've noticed that their casual restaurants use an unconventional service model, where the diner is served by more than one person and the overall tab is kept on a slip of paper at the table. It's strange but handy, especially at Desert Edge, where you can order a fresh beer from whoever is passing by instead of waiting for your designated server.

One question: were the crab deep fried? My darling wife loves the ones at the Desrert Edge, which are baked.
