		<description>Perhaps the chef having time to pop his head round the door was a function of the restaurant being relatively empty?  I&#039;d be amazed if the chef did that in most busy restaurants I&#039;ve attended - especially after seeing inside places with open or semi open kitchens.</description>

		<description>I am surprised you haven&#039;t tried Kyoto.  In my (and my wifes) opinion Kyoto is the best sushi in SLC.

Takashi is great (but a bit trendy/too modern at times) and the rolls at Tsunami are very inventive...BUT...

For traditional, ultra fresh (as good as you get in the desert anyway) sushi we love Kyoto.  

Sit at the sushi bar and ask whats good.  The three main sushi chefs (Mike, Akira and er oops forgot the last name) really know their stuff.</description>

First off, thanks for stopping by our blog. Secondly, it is great to have another food blogger here in SLC with a passion for food, both eating and cooking.

I work out by Yamasaki, but have not yet been for lunch. After reading your review I will definitely have to take it for a spin.

What I find more interesting after reading your review is that Yamasaki is owned by the same people who own Kyoto. We live only a few blocks away from Kyoto, but have NEVER been. K even worked across the street at Liberty Heights Fresh during college, and we shop there all the time, but have yet to cross the street and eat at Kyoto.

We talk about going there, but whenever the usual conversation about what to eat comes up, we always forget about it. Now I will be sure to check it out, after all we love our raw fish.</description>
